London bound

Was in London today visiting the Palace of Westminster. The tour was impressive and the building itself was impressive, if a little jaded, down at heel and with it's sparkle somewhat dimmed. An interesting comparison with Britain and London I thought, as places clinging to a glory that does not exist any more. It was, however, a highlight to step into the historic Commons and Lords chambers, walk amongst the green and red leather benches and marvel at the history that was written there.
