Capetown from Robben Island

After a very fumey boat ride to Robben Island, this is the view back to Capetown. We have never been here before and it's beautiful.

We were shown round the prison where Nelson Mandela and thousands of other political prisoners were incarcerated under horrendous conditions. Our guide was an ex prisoner who was arrested for being involved in a student demonstration. It was very interesting and thought-provoking.

This afternoon we went up Table Mountain and were fortunate that the weather stayed clear
