The effects of jet lag.

Clicked this one just off the plane at Montreal. They had nice colour changing lights up the side (should there be a blipvideo?).

But good grief, got round the corner and hit the largest immigration queue I've seen for ages. The immigration hall was so busy, they backed us up in the corridor (can't queue on the stairs - that's a health and safety risk). Took 1 hr to get past immigration, then 2 more queues for customs and cab. Took 90 minutes from getting off the plane to getting in a cab. I think thats only been beaten by a trip to Saudi when the passport control computers all went down.

Apart from that - it was quite a good journey!

Called the private health insurance this morning and found K was due £50 for every chemo session and day in hospital! Which is "sort of" nice.

Connected at LHR and watched the F1 quali in the Air Canada exec lounge.

Got eldest a new ipod classic (she's broken/lost the first two nanos...)

Got an upgrade at the gate to premium economy (these days - all flying is on economy).

Watched the latest Star Trek film (when they were all young) - quite fun. Wrote an article for a journal...

Watched several episodes of Malcolm in the Middle (v funny).

Got to the hotel. Very nice. Its always a group booking for the meetings. I think the term is "Boutique". Just a pity K can't come.
