Moon Cake

A little for the Chinese Moon Festival, but I did have a moon(less) cake.

A moon cake has a lotus seed paste filling, traditionally with a cook egg yolk in it to represent the moon. This is a moon-less version.

The eldest two children took one bite and gave it back to me. It has been noted that today is the day they turned down cake. My wife describes it as having the texture and smell of peanut butter, but without it being buttery.

My youngest son yummed down two slices (a quarter of the cake)!
