Guantanamo Bay

This is one of our weather routeing screens showing that we have passed Guantanamo Bay this morning. On the screen you can also see that we're in the race for some serious current rates flowing to the west. And that happens to be the direction we're heading to. Cheap miles today, considered that we burned 49000 liters of fuel yesterday. We're heading now for Yucatan Channel, the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico and then for Tampico. There is a small tropical development ahead of us, but the latest predictions are telling us that this one won't bother us too much. In the meantime we're enjoying a steaming hot day today with an easterly trade wind, completely compensated by our speed.
