An ordinary life....

Daddy's Home...

Well we have survived 4 days with David away.

It's been eventful as you will see when I finally get around to back blipping hopefully tomorrow.

My sincerest apologies to those blip pals I haven't managed to get around to wish Happy Blipday to, but I have just not had a single moment to myself over the past 4 days and I am feeling very guilty at my lack of engagement (in real life too as I have missed two birthday's in the last 4 days!! Not good enough Di!)

Today got off to a good start. Ele and I up at 6.45am and between us getting Alan up and ready for school. Alan was more prepared this morning after his experience yesterday morning and we managed to get into a bit of a routine.

After Alan left for school, Ele and I had tea and toast and lingered at the kitchen table for a little while as we were too tired to move, then Ele got showered and dressed while I had a quick tidy of the kitchen.

Before she headed off, she popped down to the local green grocers to get a large bag of dirty potatoes, the ones David gets every week to keep our potato loving boy in dinners. I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication lay, but Ele arrived back dragging what can only be described as a HUGE bag of potatoes. The bag must weigh stones! I'm sure it's heavier than Alan! I almost wet myself laughing as she dragged it into the kitchen. It takes up most of the floor in the larder!! Chips with everything till Christmas!!! :))))

Ele left at 11.00a.m and lazy mare that I am, I went back to bed till 12.30 then got up, showered and dressed. Had the place ship shape by the time Alan got home at 4.20pm and was in the garden taking shots of this little feather when David arrived home.

Alan and I were both delighted to see him. All is well with the world again and our house feels like home :)) He even brought me a bottle of my favourite perfume. What a star.

Got to do a bloody online Tesco order now then I will be crawling to bed.

Nite nite lovelies xx
