A Stately Pleasuredome was decreed
Tortured, twisted iron,

Guarded by seagulls.
Had to go into Brighton today to take some photographs at a conference for one of my clients. I pointed out I am not a professional photographer but they didn't seem to mind. Quite daunting, but was actually quite good fun. Afterwards I was going to take some shots of the outside of the hotel and various typical "Brighton" shots for future publicity..... however it was a foggy day and workmen were painting the outside of the hotel .... so not ideal conditions.
After photographing conference speakers etc, I headed across the road to the beach to try and capture the ethereal tangle of metal that is all that's left of the West Pier. I hadn't realised that the support pillars were still standing on the shore, like columns from a Greek temple. Seagulls were sitting proudly on top of some of the "pillars" like statues ......
