GO, GO, GO!

The start of the European Grand Prix in Valencia. Not the exact start from the grid but a couple of seconds later as this was the shot that was least affected by strobing.

This is the first GP I'm able to watch for months. I even missed the Monaco GP and I never miss the Monaco GP (it's the only one I've actually been to, in 2003). The day before (23rd May) was my birthday and for once the Guardian Hay Festival coincided so I spent that weekend at the book festival, or as Bill Clinton called it 'the Woodstock for the mind'. I love GP, and rugby union, but books will always top trump them!

And the fact that I'm dyslexic? Yup, the irony is not lost on me.
