Clocking in.

All the animals at Edinburgh Zoo are now on flex-time. It's a vast improvement on the rigid fixed hours contracts they were on previously and gives them the flexibility to deal with domestic emergencies (e.g. somepenguin has availed themselves of a pebble from your nest). The down-side is that they sacrifice pension entitlement - for the penguin this means that for every herring saved today they will only receive one pilchard post-retirement.
