Myrdalsjokull glacier
We had an amazing, if not wet and windy, day on the South shore tour. This was one stop, at the Myrdalsjokull glacier. Further into the glacier (about 15km approx) lies the Katla volcano. If Katla were to have a major explosion, all this ice could cause quite a problem.
This one piece of the glacier has a beautiful blueness to it, which is apparently more the natural colour, but this glacier is still very blackened after the Eyjafjallajokull eruption of 2010.
