Ted the Samaritan!

Last night we went to the A.G.M. of the Pendle, Burnley, Craven and Rossendale Samaritans. It was an good night and I met up with a few volunteers and ex volunteers that I haven't seen for a while.

I was a volunteer for 18 years but haven't been for the last 5 years. Humbug is still a volunteer though and he recieved a cetificate for being a volunteer for 26 years.
For those who don't know about Samaritans it is an organisation that help people who are going through a crisis and could be feeling suicidal.
People can ring, call into a branch, write and now e-mail and it is a 24 hour sevice. There are over 200 branches around the country.
