Got the T shirt

I saw Fleetwood Mac at the clumsily named Phones 4U Arena, Manchester last night. As expected the band went down a storm, playing numerous well-known songs from their great 1970s albums. I was especially impressed by Lindsey Buckingham's powerful singing and great guitar playing.

Sadly, Christine McVie didn't perform, as she had at the O2 Arena in London last week. But then, they never said she would. I was astonished by the price of the programme - £15 - and compared that to the price I paid when I bought my first Fleetwood Mac album in 1969 (the original Peter Green incarnation.) It was 39 shillings and 11 pence in the "old money" that most blippers will not recall - i.e. just under £2.
