Reflecting on invasion

This is reputed to be the very spot that the Spanish landed at as they invaded to conquer La Palma from the indigenous peoples.

Puerto de Tazacorte is a sleepy little resort town with a pleasant black beach and a new breakwater.

Sam and Roo went for a paddle and I clambered onto the top of the breakwater [no steps!] to take photographs.

Later we lunched on seafood in honour of Roo's Birthday [Don't have Moray Eel, it's nasty!]
