Loch Naver

Before anything else, another big Well Done to Mrs Cakes for a special blip day post which hit the spotlight. Very modest about her Iphone photos; she was fair chuffed with all the kind words.

I am back home tonight from Sutherland. It has been really windy this last couple of days. Had there been any chill in the air it really would have felt bitterly cold in the gales. The hassle of the job distracted from the wonderful landscape we were in but this really is a beautiful part of the Highlands.

This is Loch Naver which decants in to the sad glen known as Strath Naver. As far as I know the history of this area (and other similar stories from all over the Highlands and Western Isles) are delivered to most primary schools in Scotland.
