But, then again . . . . .

Autumn Leaves.

I had some business to attend to in Penicuik this afternoon; a lady has volunteered to be membership secretary of the Community Development Trust which, amongst other things, oversees the cinema that I help to run. Her remit is to maintain a database of our members; she does have a computer but little knowledge of how to use it, so I visited to find out what software she has and to find the best route along which to guide her.

Having accomplished that I wandered a hundred yards along a lane and spotted this stream, the River Esk (I wonder just how many River Esks there are in Scotland), and clambered down the bank for this blip.

Not being able to go out for a day's cycle ride while I'm in sole charge of two dogs, I went to the cafe where the club planned to stop for coffee - they didn't arrive. I eventually found them riding across the moor having already refreshed themselves ten miles down the road.
It was dusk by the time I walked the dogs where we met a young lady with her small son and a shiny new Rottweiler pup, he was a lovely chap and, in compliance with the (newish) Scottish law, he had a very happy waggy tail; it does make such a difference to them in all sorts of ways.

I’ve just posted an entry for 21st August 2012 - Special Skills.
