Ben Lomond
Hello Blippers,
Only an idiot would climb a munro on a day like today. And you have a photograph of him!
The smile on my face (if you can make it out) is because it was windy as hell, it was chucking it down and I was soaked. I dont know why that should make me laugh but it did. That is the second time this year I have climbed Ben Lomond and both times the weather at the top has been misty and therefore poor photo weather. Hopefully, the phrase 'third time lucky' applies the next time I venture up there. One big plus point, besides the excellent exercise you get from doing it, is the Rowardennan Hotel which has the Clansman pub adjacent to it. Another well deserved pint!
Cheers again Brian.
My festival day involved a fair bit of wandering around looking at the street theatre and I ended up in the Pear Tree listening to a couple of bands and in and out of the Counting House for some of the free comedy shows that were on Catriona and the Wives + Louis Shaefer (I think that was his name) loud Jewish American guy, anyway both really funny and well worth a look if you are up there. That was my first year venturing that far away from my usual Old Town New Town haunts and I think that will be a regular visit from now on during the festival.
Have a good week.
