Mr Badger :(

I saw my first real life Ratty on Monday. I would love to see a real live Mr Badger but I never have.

I have been told that there is a sett on the fringes of my property. I don't really know why I haven't staked it out. I have seen badger footprints in the snow.

I have of course seen many, like the one in my pic, dead at the roadside. I spotted this one and it looked so undamaged that I turned the car around and went back to check to see if it was indeed dead.

What bulky, beautiful animals they are. Seeing those silver grey hairs on its back I felt guilty about buying Mr Q, who still shaves the old-fashioned way, a badger hair shaving brush. :(
