Apples in the tree..

...out on the roadside outside school.
The whole road has ornamental fruit trees which are protected and replaced in this road as it is a conservation area! Obviously in pre-vehicle Victorian times it was considered attractive... There are also cherries, types of quince (I think) and Rowans.
It is a funny thing but really they are a nuisance because they fall on the cars/pedestrians and get squashed, kicked about and mushed up (so lots of messy carpeting in school)... and they are not really edible! Maybe they used to let the horses eat them in days gone by?

Busy at school again - almostly up to date... kids are shaping up, Mrs V is getting into her stride.. :-)
