The beast of Le Gassot

Went for a walk at Le Gassot near Grissan (France) this afternoon.

Saw lots of birds including little egrets, great white egrets, and flamingos.

Also lots of butterflies and praying mantis including a conehead mantis but my shot was not so good. So uploaded this European mantis instead.
