Took a study day today to work on my appraisal (which has been left to the last minute as usual). Once the boys had set off for work/school at 7.30am I did my shred DVD and got showered ready to start. There may have been a bit of procrastinating over breakfast and coffee but I did get going at a reasonable hour and once I was into it I did keep the momentum up!

Mid morning a text arrived from school to say that the year 4s would be back at 2.45pm from their trip. Not great news when you were told normal time of 3.20 and needed to keep working as long as possible. I do sometimes despair that the school seem to think we are all lucky enough to be SAHM (I have nothing against those that are btw!)

Got to school just before the coach pulled in and quite frankly wished I hadn't bothered! My lovely happy daughter seems to have been replaced by a moody unpleasant version. I expected a bit of overtired grumpiness but not a complete meltdown in the playground!

After taking her home and getting a bedroom door slammed in my face x2 we headed down to Ol's school to watch him play rugby. The opposition were late so I got the chance to chat with the coach beforehand. He spoke very highly of my boy :-) The team went on to win the match 42-12 and Ol played well as scrum half.

The picture today is my lunch. Yep I spectacularly failed to get anything better!
