Curves of Sail

A lot of sunshine today. Beautifull day in the Netherlands. We , the usual hikingclub, decided to visit Delfsail. Once, every six years, old marine-sailships or steamers come to the little harbour of Delfzijl in the north of Holland. This year even the Bounty (Black Pearl) entered the harbour. Wonderfull sight to see all these ships together! They came from Russia (Mir), Poland (Dar Mlodziezy), Brazil, Greece, Great Brittain, the US, etc. Thousands of people from Holland, Belgium and Germany came to watch the spectacle. Because there was no parkingspace left in Delfzijl, we parked our cars in a village nearby and walked 5 km to the harbour and back at the and of the day.
