The day before Shutdown

Yesss, I made it, I walked all the way to the bridge from the ferry building. I finally had a coffee somewhere near the bridge called the Warming Hut where I chatted with the friendly sales clerk. And now he is forced on holiday without pay, like so many people working in 'federal' organizations. And right at the fort here on the photo there was a scare the next day of someone wanting to jump off the bridge, and the emergency services could not pass (quickly) through the gate as it too was closed. Luckily nothing awful happened. But yes, I was there the day before.
