Sew and spy

While I am waiting for the kiln to fire I have several sewing tasks to do. I love sewing- using my machine to create useful things. I am up in Kate's room looking out on the busy building site as I sew a cover for the letter box to stop the draughts and begin to plan two patchwork quilts for the twins. Radio 4 is on and all is well in the domestic world.
The builders are now laying 'Lazy Lawn' and
paving slabs
- they seem to work non- stop- all very impressive.
