and I'll never have that recipe again

Spent a good part of today making a birthday cake for Mr M. Lots of expensive ingredients and over an hour in the oven and it came out looking pretty good. Ganache nice and shiny and decorated with flakes and maltesers - looked delicious. But where to hide it? Oh yes, youngest son could perhaps take it upstairs and hide it in his bedroom.
But what is that cry I hear from the stairs? Could it be youngest son tripping up and throwing the cake all over the staircase? Aaaaagh!
Mr M had to settle for a candle stuck in cheesecake instead.
