Swan among the water lily pads

A lovely day today - really warm and with quite a lot of sunshine. I went walking at Samoreau again this afternoon beside the lake and the river. There was no kingfisher to be seen today - there was too much noise from a couple of guys working with a tractor, but this swan made for quite a nice picture amongst the water lily pads. We got to talk with our eldest daughter this evening which was a nice surprise. She had spent last weekend at the annual convention for medical surgical nurses at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville Tennesee, so she was telling us all about it.
