How the mighty are fallen

The very impressive, but very dead chestnut tree which stood by a local pond has finally been felled. It stood a little way beyond the tree which featured in yesterday's blip, so it was a bit of a shock to pass it today and find an ugly five foot high stump and lots of sawdust and debris...

It's not as sharp as I'd like (early morning, hand held) but heigh ho...
