Global Weirding

A while ago, went to a lecture on predictions for the future of Europe (stormy on every front). He quoted from a book, 2050 by Jorgen Randers, who says that extreme weather conditions will become the norm - global warming will become global weirding.

So - as someone who's spent very few whole years in Britain, is it normal to have roses like this in your garden at the same time as the lawn is covering in autumn leaves??
