A Quiet Moment

Mexico is a rather chaotic, loud country even in small towns like Zihuatanejo. At every turn we are enmeshed in constant noise; horns honking, music blaring, police whistling, people enjoying themselves. Our apartment is an oasis from the hubbub of the city, but it too has its share of sound; the ever present birds, the afternoon winds, our overhead fans, people enjoying themselves (though not so much this time of year). It is unexpected then to find someone involved in a quiet pursuit, yet this morning I spotted this gentleman reading his bible in the noiseless solitude of our downtown church.

Yesterday I featured a rear view of my subject, today it is a side view, perhaps tomorrow I can capture someone face on.
