Stay and play xxx

My little munchkin was very much wide awake around 4 am this morning. Chattering away and shaking her little snuggle bear that rattles (she loves rattles). I tried ignoring her, as I had only fed her about 2 hours prior, but she was not going back to sleep. In the end I relented and pulled her into bed for a feed, and she went straight back to sleep after, but it was nearly 6 am by this point. Yawwwwwwwn.

I'd set my alarm for 8 am, as I knew if we had a restless night, that Eva (my usual alarm clock) would wake me around 9 am at the earliest (if I don't get much sleep in the night, I'll just sleep til she wakes me in the morning). We were going off to stay and play which started at 10, and I had the cats to see to before we went, and I like to spend time with Thor each morning, he is such a lovely cat, absolutely loves his fuss. I'd done the cats, had my shower, and was just doing my makeup, when Eva stirred. So I got her up and sorted and we arrived at stay and play for bang on 10 am, get us!! :-)

Omg she is soooo munchable. We met up with Jen and Eva 1 at stay and play, and just lounged about on the baby mat there. My Eva spent the time again mainly shaking the little maracas there. I'm going to get her some percussion instruments as she absolutely loves them! She joined in with snack time, munching on a bit of cream cracker as we all sat in a circle.

At the end was sing time and story time. The lady read a book about baby owls that wake up and their mommy has gone but at the end she comes back. A few of the children were up and walking around, not listening to the story, but Eva sat there, absolutely transfixed on the lady reading the story, and her little face was really concentrating on her, like she was really enjoying the story. I can't wait to read certain books from my childhood to Eva. When Mike and I were trying for a baby, I started buying books off eBay that I used to love as a child, original editions of Enid Blyton's Magic Faraway Tree for example, and The Owl That Was Afraid Of The Dark. If she's anything like how I was, she is going to love these stories, and I'm excited to rediscover them too. Hehe. Xxx
