On a CBD walk.

I took a lot of photos today, some were pretty and some I was pleased with, but when it came to deciding on a blip these two were the most interesting to me. Our city seems to be one big ugly construction site at the moment. We are making progress but the view is often depressing. Someone had planted flowers in the corner of this bare site and they were in full bloom and brightened the start of my walk. The lower picture is of one of the oldest buildings in the CBD, Shand's Emporium built in 1860, and it was hemmed in by great tall building. The earthquake got rid of the lot and Shand's Emporium stands tall. I smiled all the way home!
