Spicy Fish!

Our collage tutors encourage us to experiment in our art, so this is my latest adventure into different painting mediums - kitchen spices!

The main base of the fish is made from garlic powder which made a pale creamy colour. On top of this is tumeric (yellow), cayenne pepper (red) and mixed spice (brown). To finish off I added cumin seeds and freshly ground black pepper!

As you can imagine it smells delicious!!!

The background is blueberry tea mixed with acrylic medium darkened with violet acrylic.

This is just a sketchbook painting, but I intend to do a bigger and better one for my final piece.
