Everybody Street

(Piccadilly Vue Cinema, Regent Street, SW1)
Thanks to another blip entry I have found out that this documentary is premiering in London on a film festival today . What to say about film? As there are no m(a)ny films on street photography it is definitively a must for anyone who likes documentary style photography, but comparing to documentaries which BBC did (Imagine ) on photography and photographers or documentary on William Eggelston, it is not that good. Film is uneven. with mixing individual stories and and some common themes (film vs digital) but not in the right way. It looks like bunch of individual separate stories and not like something with single coherent theme that connects every story. Plus very grave mistake, almost nothing (just one photo and few sentences ) on the greatest street photographer of them all Garry Winogrand.
Now question for someone who reads this and have seen the film (I doubt that there are many of them ) which lens is Jill Freedman having on her Leica. It doesn't look Leica lens to me/
And finally - image I took from the film is photograph taken by Boggie who is really pleasant discovery as a character and photographer. Boggie is from `Belgrade or Beograd so there is the link to yesterday's blip. Let's see what will be tomorrow
