The Town Hall
My office in Wakefield is just around the corner from this place.
It was built in 1798 as assembly rooms and in 1803 became offices for Wakefield's first newspaper. The building then became home of Wakefield Church Institution from 1845 to 1858.
The premises were then leased by Wakefield Corporation from 1861 to 1880 and used as the Town Hall.
