strutting his stuff

we decided to go to bushy park again as my husband had not see the deer and stags. Talk about strutting his stuff. we watched this big guy for some time as bellowed away warning off other stags and keeping his hareem in order. If a doe (we assumed it was a doe and not a young male) strayed into HIS herd that he didn't want he chased her away. At one point he took off at break neck speed to chase off another stag. when a couple of his girls strayed he was after them like a shot and brought them back with a lot of huffing and puffing and a funny Ha Ha sound which was different to his bellow. I think they were well and truly told off.

so much noise again with all the bellowing. did see at least one lone stag-no hareem.
