Lesson.

Out for my blip today and I saw some interesting sights:

five female red breasted mergansers
mobile phone transmitters disguised as brickwork on a chimney stack
a magpie and a heron sharing a perch (a branch that is, not a fish!)
a rescue landrover/crane combination thingy in action

I would have taken photos of these things (and many others) if only I had a memory card in my camera. Sadly, it's not the first time I've done it but at least today it didn't really matter. Lesson learned? Time will tell!

I eventually remembered that I did have my phone with me (a thing I regularly forget to take) but the camera on it is not much use now as it's little lens has become rather scuffed. Anyway, I took a few snaps on the way back from the supermarket.

This is the best of a (really) bad lot and I have added a canvass effect to disguise how poor the shot really is!
