999 Blip!
And this really is a 999 Blip!
This morning we received an urgent phone call from my 92 year old Uncle's carer to say that he had been taken very ill and was being rushed into hospital. So we dashed into Bristol where we found him in A&E. I then spent the next six hours sitting by his bed, holding his hand, while they performed test after test.
The tests were inconclusive and he has now been admitted for further investigation, and is expected to be in hospital for some time.
While my Uncle was having a CT scan, I popped outside for some fresh air, and whilst sitting on the wall, I looked up and spotted this colourful sculpture outside the Children's Hospital entrance. It was so good to see some colour, and sunshine, on an otherwise gloomy day.
(You may be interested to know that last night the Gromit statues, which have featured widely on blip, were auctioned off in Bristol, raising over £2.3 million for the Children's Hospital, a remarkable achievement!)
