Jacob Epstein's "Day"

The office block over St James's Park tube station has some notable sculptures. When it was first installed, "Day" by Jacob Epstein was so controversial that Lord Colwyn offered to pay for its removal out of his own pocket. As a compromise Epstein removed one-and-a-half inches from a particular feature which seemed to settle things.
