Today, under grey skies and in muggy heat, I attended the funeral of a friend from church. It is not that she and I were especially close, but as part of the same small church family, and particularly with children if similar ages, we have shared a lot together in the past years.

She was two years younger than me and had been battling with cancer for five years. The struggle is now over.

Sometimes life seems just so unfair.
