Hazy, Lazy Day
I've felt very 'poorly' the last couple of days with a nasty cold. Today was a recuperating day, just lying outside in the sunshine of a gorgeous day, reading. Late in the afternoon it clouded over and became quite hazy. I noticed the sun peeking through and catching this promontory.
The flat area in front of the promontory is all mangrove swamp that is filling more and more of the harbour shores. A little mangrove swamp is good for the ecology of the harbour, but too much becomes a problem. Too much sediment and nutrients from the land causes the mangroves to grow to a point where they have taken over large areas of open tidal flats.
