Brace Face No More!

Just decided to post a shameless selfie for today. I got braces slapped on jsut under two years ago, since my jaw was causing some problems. After a bunch of shifting around and some meetings with a surgeon, I got put under for jaw surgery this past June.

About 6 weeks ago my orthodontist said I was doing so well and my bite was so good that I could get my braces off soon! And voila, 6 weeks later I practically skidded into the orthodontist chair in front of the familiar African mask obtained from what I can only imagine was some obscure bazaar in Zimbabwe or similar. Or maybe just the local thrift store.

Anyways, no more jaw pain and no more braces! So happy to be less self-conscious of my smile. :)
