Reflecting

An overnight flight back to the UK. So hard to say Goodbye to my son, his lovely wife and of course Scarlett. Thank God for Skype. It will be next Spring before I am with them again. Our flight was good and actually seemed quick. The plan now is to stay up as late as we can but I am feeling a bit spaced out already. I paused outside the church where Mr A and I got married over 16 years ago. Mr A is my sons stepDad and it is so comforting to experience the very strong bond they have and now the bond between Mr A and our little grand daughter. A day of reflection of the loveliest kind. So a contrasting English scene to the space and vast monuments in Washington DC. I love contrasts.
