Horton in Ribblesdale Church.
On our way home from Newcastle we took a nostalgic tour through favourite parts of Yorkshire. Over thirty years ago, as part of a church youth group led by John (see yesterdays Blip) and his wife Anne we stayed in The Golden Lion, which was then an outdoor centre owned by a school, and had a fantastic week exploring the Three Peaks of Yorkshire. This was a regular trip for several years and was a wonderful experience which led to a lifetime love of the area. This view, of the Church and Pen-y-Ghent behind it is the one seen from The Golden Lion.
