The San Juan Islands

A long drive down from Tofino today with nothing exciting between there and Sydney.

I was taking this picture from the ferry to Friday Harbour when the captain announced that orcas had been spotted in front of the boat. I didn't stop to get the right lens, just stood and watched them charging through the water after salmon.
