Grand design

We went to the Grand Designs show in Birmingham today. It's a spin off exhibition from the popular Channel 4 show. Well, I say popular but I haven't watched it for years.
Anyway, we went looking for specific things. Namely cellar tanking specialists and people who make stairs. There were people who make stairs but no cellar tankers.
To be honest the whole thing's just a trade fair which costs £15 each to gain entry. I thought there'd be more exhibitions and mock up houses to look around when in reality it was just people flogging stuff.
We felt a little out of our comfort zone as there were people walking around with plans of the homes they were building to show prospective trades. These are the sort of people whose houses don't consist of rooms but of 'living spaces'.
But hey ho, we now know what it's all about and probably won't go again. Anyway, this garden pod thing caught our eye as it looks like the thing Joe 90 used to climb into to get his brain wiped.
