Fading

It is. Summer is fading. The garden is past its peak.

Note to self: 1. Plant more things that bloom in the late summer to fall. 2. Move a bunch of things around that don't like where they are. 3. Kick some disappointing performers off the team. Some plants just don't mature handsomely.

The grasses look great though, pluming out and sounding like the ocean today with the wind whippng around, drawing up moisture from the Gulf, getting ready for the next round of thunderstorms.

4. Plant more grasses.

Prettiest in the garden right now is Rudbeckia, drawing hordes of bees and butterflies, none of which I was able to snap...not patient enough.
