This Phoenix summit was renamed for a Native American woman who was the first female fatality of the 2nd Iraq war. I was a good 7 miles away or more, using my new telephoto - you can see the paths quite clearly. I climbed this once, maybe 20 years ago.
The clouds are the "monsoon" variety, which we will have from now until at least mid-September, and upon which much of our annual precipitation depends.
