Ruin

Drove to a small town on a river near the sea, an arts town really, because of a quilt show. I never leave La Connor without spending time at this wonderful ruin with my camera. The light was not perfect at 11 AM and the sun was to my right but I fiddled and you can see its delightful textures and rectangular shapes and spaces. It is the kind of quilt look I prefer, not the ones that are flowers and fruits, neat, tidy. Not a wasted drive for the ruin and the great sun to and from.

I also watched the snow geese take off in a huge white swarm but could not get stopped to catch them! They were beautiful - 1000's at once, and so large, great honking noise.
