Wet Leaves

These aren't just any wet leaves. These are from the choke-cherry tree that is rooted in my backyard. Of course in the spring it sprouts its leaves and then come the fragrant blossoms and then the fruit. There are so many bugs, critters and birds that feed off this tree. And now its season of change has come when it peacefully releases its leaves one by one.

However, there's more to be said about trees.

The bible says, "And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." Genesis 2:9

The Genesis account of the Tree of Life reminds us there is only one way to attain eternal life of blessedness—the way God has appointed. And that is through His Son, the Creator of heaven and earth—the Lord Jesus Christ. It is He alone who can say, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life.’
