City on a hill

The beautiful Civita, an abandoned city north of Viterbo. Not strictly abandoned as a number of foreigners have bought homes here and, of course, the tourism opportunities have been exploited. None the less, beautiful, particularly as the fog swept in! It is built on a volcanic plug of the Tofo stone.
