The Heart of the Cloud

It seems there are a few balloons using the local gliding club today. I liked this shot because it looks like the balloon is emerging from a break in the cloud that looks like a heart - or it could just be my imagination :-))

The local gliding club also had a 'Fly - in' day yesterday, where anyone with a small plane can join in. They all fly in just before lunch, have some lunch at the club and all fly off together on an outing (often to the seaside). Attending the Fly-In yesterday was a small plane that was completely hand built from scratch by my Dad, my brother took a photo if you would like to see it. It took him years to build and most of my childhood was spent trying not to break the various wing struts and pieces of wood held in clamps that were littered all over the house. I was glad to see the back of it when he eventually sold it on but it is nice to know that it still looks so good and can still fly all these years later.
